Hey Guys,
Let me continue the blossoming spring feeling with these tips on expanding your heart and making the most of your rising energy levels. Since writing them I've been practising a few myself; getting outdoors is definitely one of the easiest to do I've noticed. Saying hello to a stranger - in a city - is slightly more challenging! Well, every little helps... Enjoy and let me know how you get on.
Here are my Ten ways to expand and open your heart (and a couple of bonuses for you too; a little more challenging...)
- Express gratitude - verbally and/or in written form. Small mercies/gifts/appreciations.
- Smile. Simple. Sometimes easy, sometimes hard. Do it.
- Be outdoors as soon as possible in the day. Move. Get out. Curse while you are out there!
- Find a grand view. Take it in. It's there for you, just for that.
- Breathe deeply. What a wonderful machine your respiratory system is.
- Dance. Alone and together with others. Even, as the song says, "if you have nowhere to do it but your own living room".
- Say hello to a stranger and watch their response. I know! Do it and walk on.
- Hug and embrace others as much as possible. Even when you don’t want to. Touch revitalises. People die without it. Give it. Receive it.
- Sing. Harmonize. Put sound and vibration in your life. Share it with others.
- Do something creative with crafts or cookery. Make a card. Do origami. Bake a cake. Doodle. It's creative. It uses a different part of your brain. It will make you feel good.
And your two bonuses...
- Imagine a big space in the center of your chest, growing and growing, filling with light. You are. You can. It's a gift.
- Celebrate things, big or small. You did it. You are worth it. Acknowledge what you did, not what you didn't do. Make a party. It works.
